The Yamaha SW1000XG Professional Audio MIDI Card is a high-quality sound PCI card designed for computers. It provides a 64‑voice XG synth, with up to 32 multitimbral parts. It also has six stereo Wave audio busses, for playback of up to 12 mono audio tracks using a hardware‑controlled mixer. It has five 24‑bit effects/dynamics busses, which can be used by either MIDI or WAV sounds, and a palette of over 70 different effects types, including not only the more usual reverbs, chorus, and delays, and also more exotic types like guitar amp simulators, aural exciters and talk modulators.
